It is our pleasure to announce the 42nd Congress of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, which will be held in Cluj Napoca, Romania, 15th-17th of September, 2016. The Congress is held in conjunction with the 21st French Course in Neurosurgery, which will take place on the 14th of September. The venue for the events will be the newly renovated Grand Hotel Napoca, in the heart of the city.
Transylvania’s biggest city is very youth-orientated, holding Romania’s greatest student population, and with its baroque achitecture, bohemian café society and back streets animated with bon viveurs, you can see why. No wonder it has been declared European Youth Capital in 2015 and is on its way to becoming European Culture Capital in 2021.
Cluj is also a hub of academic universities and institutions. We take great pride in our heritage of more than 245 years of continuos medical education. Moreover, in recent years, thanks to multiple international courses, workshops and congresses, we now stand as a landmark city on the South Eastern European Neurosurgical map.
The invited speakers will include the world’s leading experts in the field of neurosurgery, who will contribute to the exchange of new knowledge and skills. The scientific program will include a wide area of subjects, the focus being on CNS Congenital Malformations, Spine Surgery and Gliomas Management.
We are pleased to invite you to take an active part and present your work in this Congress, since our aim in to make its success our profession’s success as well.
